Workout at our public
recreation complex which has four basketball courts and two tennis
courts, or come watch softball, American Legion Baseball, T-ball, pee
wees, or midgets.
The Bowbells Recreation Commission sponsors summer recreation, plus
swimming lessons and other summer activities.
Near
the center of town is our beautiful city park, loaded with shade trees
and a public swimming pool, campsites, picnic shelters and a
playground for the youngsters. Just look for the water tower and you
will find the park.
The public swimming pool took on a patriotic look during the summer of
2003. Click on the pictures to get a closer look at the red, white and
blue old glory theme.
 If golf
is your game, you can have a pleasant round or two at the Bowbells
Country Club located on Stony Creek just three miles east of town.
Creeks,
doglegs, rolling hills and trees make this nine hole sand green course
challenging enough for the experienced golfer but forgiving enough for
the beginner. Thursday evenings are men's night and Tuesday's are for
the ladies. Family nights and couples nights are also scheduled and
several tournaments are held throughout the summer. |
